Trust. Growth. Responsibility: Raiffeisen Bank Ukraine Reports Strong First Half of 2026 Results
During the first half of 2026, Ukraine's economy continued to operate under the pressure of renewed large-scale attacks on critical infrastructure. Despite these challenges, Raiffeisen Bank Ukraine, the country's largest private bank with foreign capital, remained a reliable partner for individuals and businesses by providing financing, access to international funding programmes, and modern digital banking services.
Trust
Client trust remains the bank's greatest achievement. The key results for the first half of 2026 reflect this confidence:
- More than 15,000 new business clients chose Raiffeisen Bank, with sole proprietors accounting for almost 95% of new acquisitions.
- More than 250,000 new users joined the MyRaif mobile banking app, bringing the number of active users to over 1.66 million.
- Customer deposits increased to UAH 216.5 billion, up UAH 15.8 billion (8%) since the beginning of the year.
Growth
Raiffeisen Bank's strategic focus on financing Ukraine's real economy continued to deliver tangible results:
- Loans and advances to customers increased by UAH 10.8 billion, reaching UAH 93.5 billion. Their share of total assets rose to 35%, exceeding the average across the Ukrainian banking sector.
- The bank now offers clients access to 11 international financing programmes with a combined available volume of approximately EUR 600 million.
- During the first five months of the year, every twelfth euro or US dollar of Ukraine's foreign trade was processed through Raiffeisen Bank.
As of 30 June 2026, the bank's total assets reached UAH 269.3 billion, an increase of UAH 15.2 billion (8%) since the beginning of the year. By total assets, Raiffeisen Bank maintained its position as the fourth-largest bank in Ukraine.
For the first half of 2026, Raiffeisen Bank reported net profit of UAH 3.6 billion.
Responsibility
Responsibility is reflected not only in the bank's financial performance, but also in its contribution to Ukraine's economy and long-term social impact.
During the first half of 2026, Raiffeisen Bank paid UAH 4.4 billion in taxes and statutory contributions, compared with UAH 2.8 billion during the same period last year.
The bank also continues to support women-led entrepreneurship. The loan portfolio for women entrepreneurs within the Business Banking segment reached UAH 3.3 billion, while 36% of all Business Banking loan applications were submitted by women entrepreneurs.
At the same time, the bank continues to expand its comprehensive support for veterans. During the first half of the year, Raiffeisen Bank launched dedicated lending for veteran entrepreneurs and introduced priority banking services for veterans and active military personnel across its branch network. These initiatives form part of the bank's broader veterans strategy, which encompasses access to finance, employment opportunities, entrepreneurship development and a high-quality customer experience.
Inclusion remains another strategic priority. The bank has adopted its Inclusion Strategy and continues to build an accessible and inclusive customer experience. This goes beyond upgrading its branch network to include accessible digital services through the MyRaif mobile app and the bank's website, inclusive service standards, employee training, and customer journeys designed to meet the needs of people with diverse abilities and circumstances. Today, 206 of the bank's 253 operating branches (81%) fully comply with accessibility standards, positioning Raiffeisen Bank among the leaders in inclusive banking in Ukraine.
Since the start of the full-scale invasion, the bank has provided UAH 1.9 billion in humanitarian assistance and has remained Ukraine's largest humanitarian donor among banks for the fourth consecutive year. At the same time, Raiffeisen Bank continues to invest in the country's long-term development.
"Our strong financial performance, high capitalisation and liquidity enable us to continue financing Ukraine's economy, fully comply with all National Bank of Ukraine regulatory requirements, and make a substantial contribution to the state budget. The bank's capital adequacy ratio stood at 17.0%, well above the regulatory minimum of 10%, while our Net Stable Funding Ratio (NSFR) reached 158%, significantly exceeding the required 100%," said Yurii Soroka, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Raiffeisen Bank Ukraine.
"Trust is reflected in more than 15,000 entrepreneurs who chose Raif during the first half of the year. Growth means more than UAH 10 billion in new financing for individuals, entrepreneurs and businesses, 11 international financing programmes with a combined capacity of around EUR 600 million, and modern digital services that help our clients grow. Responsibility means supporting veterans, advancing women-led entrepreneurship, promoting accessibility and investing in education. This is how we see the role of a bank today: to be a long-term partner that helps people, businesses and Ukraine grow," said Natalia Hurina, Chief Executive Officer of Raiffeisen Bank Ukraine.
