Raiffeisen Bank (hereinafter - the Bank) expresses its compliments and informs you of the following.
Subparagraph 4 of paragraph 121 of the "Instruction on the procedure for opening and closing accounts to users by providers of payment services for servicing accounts", approved by the Resolution of the Board of the National Bank of Ukraine dated 29.07.2022 No. 162, provides for the right of the Bank to close current accounts of customers on the grounds provided by the legislation of Ukraine or the agreement between the Bank and the client.
Currently, the Bank has started the process of closing current accounts of small and micro business clients - individual entrepreneurs on the following grounds
- detection by the Bank in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, Individual Entrepreneurs and Public Organizations of information on the state registration of the termination of the entrepreneurial activity of an individual entrepreneur or receipt by the Bank of such information from regulatory authorities (in accordance with paragraph 124 of the "Instruction on the procedure for opening and closing accounts to users by payment service providers for account servicing", approved by the Resolution of the Board of the National Bank of Ukraine dated 29.07.2022 No. 162) and
- if within six months from the date of account opening or within six consecutive months there are no transactions on the account initiated by the client and there is no balance on the account (according to paragraph 2.4. Article 2, Section 2 of the "Rules of Banking Services for Small and Micro Business Customers - Individual Entrepreneurs and Individuals Conducting Independent Professional Activity in Raiffeisen Bank JSC"). In case of closing an account (accounts) with a balance at the initiative of the Bank, such balance shall be transferred to the relevant accounts of the Bank (unless otherwise provided by the legislation of Ukraine) and returned to the client upon his first request. Until such request is received, the Bank shall account for such funds on the Bank's accounts for accounting of debts on inactive accounts, while the Bank shall not accrue any interest or other income on such funds.
The Bank informs customers about the closure of the account(s) by sending SMS messages indicating the date of closure of the account(s).
