Raiffeisen Bank Aval took part in EBRD’s TFP Trade Finance Forum

Kyiv. 29 October. - Raiffeisen Bank Aval took part in the EBRD’s TFP Trade Finance Forum, held on 23-24 October 2019 in Athens. The aim of the Forum was to discuss key challenges and new opportunities in trade finance in the countries of EBRD’s activity and beyond, and to provide an excellent networking opportunity. The forum was attended by 250 participants from the EBRD’s network of issuing banks, confirming banks and co-financing partners under the TFP, trade finance associations and providers of trade finance services.

Raiffeisen Bank Aval has been recently awarded by EBRD as the Most Active Green Bank Issuer in 2018. The Green Trade Award honors the Bank for the largest number of Green TFP operations launched in 2018.

Kateryna Schulga, Head of the Trade Finance Department in the Division of Multinational Services and Trade Finance at Raiffeisen Bank Aval, participated in the panel discussion “Green Trade Finance”.

“Ukraine uses three times more energy per unit of GDP than the average European country. The move towards energy efficiency, supported by Raiffeisen Bank Aval through trade finance instruments, is an urgent need enabling the bank's clients to become more competitive in the Ukrainian market and helping them to enter the international market”, said Kateryna Shulga.
