Raiffeisen Bank Aval became partner of IV Eastern Ukrainian agrarian forum

Kharkiv. 26 Oct. — Raiffeisen Bank Aval became partner of the IV Eastern-Ukrainian agro forum “the Evolution of agribusiness in the open market”, which took place in mid-October in Kharkov.

This annual event takes place in Eastern Ukraine since 2012 and aims to contribute to reforming the agricultural sector, financing of infrastructure projects and implementation of European standards development of agribusiness.

This year the forum gathered about 500 participants, including representatives from agricultural businesses from 12 countries, farmers, producers of agricultural equipment, representatives of the banking sector and scientists.

the Forum was opened by the largest event in the Eastern region — AGROPORT-2015, which was held under the auspices of the UN with the support of the EBRD, the Ministry of agrarian policy and food of Ukraine and other organizations. The main platform of the forum was the aircraft hangar for the International airport «Kharkov”. The participants of the event visited the exhibition grounds, where they were the products of the enterprises of agroindustrial complex. At the same time worked about ten prefabricated platforms, where they discussed issues of further development of agribusiness investment opportunities in this sector of the economy and the introduction of new standards.

Director of corporate products and partnerships Raiffeisen Bank Aval Ruslan Spivak participated in a panel discussion. In his report he emphasized on close cooperation between the Bank and enterprises of the agricultural sector and the continuous growth of the credit support for this sector. In particular, Ruslan Spivak said: “This year, Raiffeisen Bank Aval has provided credit support agrochem worth more than 8 billion UAH. Support of the agricultural sector is key to the business strategy of the Bank”.

Carrying out in the Kharkov event of such level is the next step in promoting the products of domestic producers on international markets. And meetings with existing and potential clients to provide in-depth understanding of the current needs of the agricultural sector, and therefore — the Bank closer to the client.
