Odessa entrepreneurs learned all about taxation

On November 14, Odessa hosted a business forum for entrepreneurs SME Hub, where one could learn all about the nuances of taxation for individuals entrepreneurs. It was conducted by experts from Unlimit Ukraine by EBA and Ilyashev & Partners Law Firm for entrepreneurs and clients of Raiffeisen Bank Aval.

The event was attended by more than a hundred businessmen from all over the south of Ukraine who gathered to learn about the latest legislative changes regarding taxation for individual entrepreneurs and about the possibilities of using the products and services of Raiffeisen Bank Aval.

During her extensive informative lecture, Nina Betz, a leading specialist in tax practice at Ilyashev & Parners Law Firm, spoke about the procedure for registering an individual entrepreneur in the current legislative conditions.

The main essence of her speech was devoted to the key issues of the FLP:

– how to behave during a tax audit;

– what documents may be of interest to labor inspectors;

– what fines threaten the FLP;

– what innovations in the Tax Code are preparing the team of the President of Ukraine.

The forum participants learned who can and who cannot be an entrepreneur in Ukraine, found out what are the differences in the status of residents and non-residents, features and “pitfalls” of the FLP registration process, got acquainted with the latest changes in single tax rates for various categories of business representatives. We also learned about which types of income are not taxed, how and on which accounts it is more convenient to derive profit, how to divide the personal expenses of an entrepreneur with the expenses of his entrepreneurial activity.

During the work of the forum, very interesting subtleties were found out: in particular, regarding the opportunity for entrepreneurs to take “tax holidays” for themselves during the holidays, during which the main activity ceases, about the possibility of a kind of “hospital” for the period of treatment. It turned out that in some cases it is faster and cheaper to pay a fine than to undergo a particular tax procedure - but only once, since the repeated fine will be several times more. It is important that Nina Betz also spoke about possible violations in the tax sphere that could lead to the loss of the right to work under the single tax scheme.

A separate topic was recommendations regarding the use of PPO and the cashback system, as well as features of work on the “boundary” days during the New Year holidays - on which days the actual operations take place and when the funds are credited to the accounts. We found out what to do in case of software PPO malfunctions or loss of connection with the server.
