Volodymyr Lavrenchuk took part in the opening of the USAID project "Transformation of the financial sector"

Kiev. 23 Mar. — Vladimir Lavrenchuk, Chairman of Board, Raiffeisen Bank Aval took part in the opening ceremony of the USAID “the Transformation of the financial sector” where presents the results of a national survey with the financial literacy and awareness.

“the results of the study are very interesting and relevant — noted in the West, Vladimir Lavrenchuk.   Despite the fact that Ukrainians have a good education and are perceived by the international community as a highly educated professionals in various industries, there is a certain lack of knowledge in the financial sector. To make up for it in a fast-changing society of today hardly perhaps at a slow pace. And the program “the Transformation of the financial sector” with the participation of many partners — the government of Ukraine, NBU, international financial institutions — will help to accelerate progress in this direction”.

“I am sure — he added, — path to improve financial awareness also lies in the plane of the newest tools for the protection and modern educational practices. And one of these tools — the introduction of an electronic society that it’a prerequisite for rapid and wide dissemination of knowledge, technology and products”.

the project of the Agency for international development USAID “the Transformation of the financial sector” is aimed at supporting financial sector reform. The opening ceremony of the project took place on 22 March with the participation of Deputy head of the diplomatic mission of the USA in Kiev George Kent, the first Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Ukraine Yakov Smoliy, Deputy Finance Minister of Ukraine for European integration Yuri Butsa, Deputy managing Director of the Fund of guaranteeing deposits of physical persons Andrey Olenika, representatives of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and participants of the Project.
