Raiffeisen Bank Aval again named Best Bank in Ukraine, – Global Finance

Kyiv. 9 April. – Raiffeisen Bank Aval is again recognized as the Best Bank in Ukraine in the Global Finance rating “The Best Banks in Central and Eastern Europe 2020” within the framework of the 27th Annual Awards for the World’s Best Banks.

Winners of the rating will be honored at an Awards Ceremony held during the IMF/World Bank Annual Meetings in Washington at the National Press Club on the morning of October 17, 2020.

Winners of the awards have been chosen in more than 150 countries across Africa, Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, North America and Western Europe.  The winners of this year’s awards are those banks that attended carefully to their customers’ needs in difficult markets and accomplished better results while laying the foundations for future success.

All selections were made by the editors of Global Finance after extensive consultations with corporate financial executives, bankers and banking consultants, and analysts throughout the world. In selecting these top banks, Global Finance considered factors that ranged from the quantitative objectives to the informed subjective.

Banks were invited to submit entries supporting their selection. Objective criteria considered included: growth in assets, profitability, geographic reach, strategic relationships, new business development and innovation in products. Subjective criteria included the opinions of equity analysts, credit rating analysts, banking consultants and others involved in the industry.

“The banking industry is increasingly challenged by rising customer demands for safe

real-time access with total control and broad flexibility,” said Joseph D. Giarraputo,

publisher and editorial director of Global Finance. “For 27 years, the Global Finance Best

Bank Awards have helped corporate treasurers and CFOs identify the banking partners

most able to deliver top-notch financial services delivered via innovative technology.”

Oleksandr Pysaruk, Chairman of the Board of Raiffeisen Bank Aval, notes: “It is a great honor for our bank to have such a high award from this reputable world-known magazine again. Even in these uncertain times, Raiffeisen Bank Aval is doing its best to support our customers and the economy of Ukraine as a whole. We continue our lending programs for corporate and SME customers, especially in the agrarian sector, which are strategic businesses and of great importance to the country in terms of employment and contribution to GDP and export revenues”.
