Raiffeisen Bank Aval supports children's homes of family type in the village of Pnikut in Lviv
lions. 2 Oct. - Raiffeisen Bank Aval together with the Austrian Charitable Foundation H. Stepic CEE Charity for over eight years providing comprehensive support to children's town “Country of children's dreams” in the village of Pnikut Mostyska district, Lviv region, which is about’brings together p’five children's homes of family type. Here together with parents, caregivers is home to 55 orphaned children and children deprived of parental care.
During this time, the charitable activities of the Foundation H. Stepic CEE Charity with participation of the Lviv regional Directorate of Raiffeisen Bank Aval, religious mission “Caritas-SPEs”, which is engaged in these orphanages received a significant amount of funds for their support. The Bank has also provided assistance in the amount of 700 thousand UAH for the purchase of equipment and built in Pnikut social bakery.
During the opening ceremony of the children's homes in “the Country of children's dreams” Raiffeisen Bank Aval gave the establishments of certificates for purchase of household appliances and the arrangement of the Playground. And recently, the Bank has provided the children's town charitable help for the purchase of computer equipment.
Foundation H. Stepic CEE Charity is a non-profit organization that is making great efforts to improve the living conditions of children, juveniles and women in Central and Eastern Europe. It was founded in 2007 by Herbert Stacom, at that time Chairman of the Board of Raiffeisen international AG-the Austrian parent company of Raiffeisen Bank Aval.
Over the years of its work the Foundation has implemented numerous charity projects in Ukraine. Among them several joint projects with the charity organization “Caritas-SPEs”, namely: funding the reconstruction of homes in the children's improving center in sec. Yablunitsa in Ivano-Frankivsk region, building of one of three houses in the orphanage in Kharkiv, as well as the construction of houses in the children's village for orphans in sec. Pnikut, Lviv region; the restoration of the charity center for children from incomplete and large families – the House of St. Martin de Porres – in Fastov Kiev region; assistance of the charity center for street children in Berdiansk and the like.
Raiffeisen Bank Aval is actively supporting these and other charitable initiatives of BF H. Stepic CEE Charity in Ukraine, and also implements numerous charity projects, primarily aimed at the social protection of children, development of children's educational and medical institutions.
