Raiffeisen Bank Aval has granted IFC's first loan in local currency

Kiev. 8 Aug. — Raiffeisen Bank Aval for the first time in the history of Ukraine provided today by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) loan in the national currency.

“We are working to increase access to much needed financing for Ukrainian companies and to extend the term resources in the market. Our first loan in the national currency has already received the Auchan Retail. We are ready to provide financial products in local currency, will be structured taking into account the individual needs of the client. This is an important part of a broader IFC in Ukraine, which aims to support private sector growth and create new opportunities for Ukrainian companies», — told Jason Pellmar, regional head of IFC representative office in Ukraine and Belarus.

“We believe that this is a landmark transaction for Ukraine, which all the market was waiting for and which expands the ability of Ukrainian companies to attract long-term financing in national currency.
