Raiffeisen Bank Aval — best retail Bank of Ukraine, the magazine "Focus"

Kiev. 3 Mar. - Raiffeisen Bank Aval has headed a rating of “Top 20 retail banks", compiled and published by the magazine “Focus” (No. 8, 2015). Under this rating, the Bank also entered p’Atma leaders in the segments of banking services to “Deposits” and “Payment card”.

In the ranking of the participated financial institutions of Ukraine with the volume of retail deposits from UAH 1 bn. At first they were evaluated from the point of view of stability (considered support of owners, capital adequacy, quality of reserve, net interest income, the scale of retail lending, the dynamics of clients ' funds and term deposits and money demand in the structure of deposits). As a result it was determined the top twenty banks. Then the results were adjusted for indicators of comfort for retail customers — consider the number of departments, including working at weekends, number of ATMs, Internet banking and mobile applications, and other indicators.

As noted in the editorial “Focus”, when choosing a Bank you need to pay attention to its shareholders. “Practice in Ukraine shows that their liabilities’commitments to better cope with foreign financial institutions and state capital», — writes the edition. They listed among other significant indicators — if the Bank is the market, its net interest income (for the assessment of real efficiency), the dynamics and structure of the Deposit portfolio and on what terms the Bank is willing to work with clients.

That is why the first lines in the top-5 is banks that offer returns on deposits higher than the market average», — journalists comment on the results of rating in the segment of “Deposits” (Raiffeisen Bank Aval-2, on the 1st — one of the state banks).

In the segment "Payment card" (Raiffeisen Bank Aval — 3rd place), the authors of the rating took into account the number of ATMs and self-service terminals, as well as the cost of servicing the payment cards.

Since the beginning of 2015, Raiffeisen Bank Aval was awarded as best in a number of other authoritative ranking of the country. In particular, he named the most sustainable Bank with foreign capital in Ukraine in the ranking of the magazine «Forbes Ukraine», and also according to the magazine “Money.EN” he entered p’Atma banks-leaders of the reliability ranking of large and largest banks in Q1 2015.
