Raiffeisen Bank Launches Additional Client Support Under the State "Affordable Loans 5-7-9%" Program

Raiffeisen Bank is launching additional support for clients under the state "Affordable Loans 5-7-9%" programAs of September 1, 2026, ESG requirements will apply to a broader range of borrowersso the bank is helping businesses prepare for the assessment and address potential gaps beforesubmitting a loan application. 

Going forward, financing decisions will take into account not only a company's financial performance, but also whether it holds the necessary permits, whether its actual operations comply withlegislationand its key environmental and social risks. 

"Today, Ukrainian businesses are operating in extremely difficult conditions, yet they continue to investrebuild productionand plan for the future. That's why we see it as our responsibility not just toprovide financingbut also to help companies prepare for new requirements and challenges so that the process of raising financing is as clear and predictable as possible," says Olena Kiyanova, Head of ESG at Raiffeisen Bank. 

Bank specialists support clients throughout the assessment process, help review permit documentation, and provide practical tools, including document templates and the "Environmental Compass" — a guide listing current permit documents that helps companies navigate ESG requirements. The bank has also launched practical educational initiatives that help companies assess their readinessfor the review in advance and identify potential risks before submitting a loan application. 

As a reminderRaiffeisen Bank is among the top 5 most active participants in the state "Affordable Loans 5-7-9%" program. According to the Ministry of Finance, since the start of 2026 entrepreneurshave received 25,743 loans totaling UAH 114.7 billion under the "5-7-9%" program.
