Raiffeisen Bank and IT Veteran NGO Sign a Memorandum to Support Veterans in IT and Cybersecurity

Raiffeisen Bank and the NGO “IT Veteran” have signed a memorandum on cooperation, continuing the bank’s systemic veteran strategy and marking another step towards creating opportunities for the professional development of veterans after military service.

Raiffeisen Bank’s recent partnership with the Ukrainian Association of Veteran Entrepreneurs has strengthened support for veteran entrepreneurship, while cooperation with the NGO “IT Veteran” expands systemic support for veterans in the area of IT and cybersecurity.

The goal of the partnership is to combine efforts to create an ecosystem for education, practical training, reskilling, and professional integration of veterans into high-tech sectors.

The cooperation will include educational programs, training sessions, webinars, workshops, and mentoring initiatives aimed to develop veterans’ IT skills. Practical training opportunities will also be provided as part of this partnership. These include internships, the chance to gain hands-on commercial experience within the bank, and support for further employment of program graduates in IT-related roles.

Veterans have diverse professional paths after their service: some want to develop their own business, while others aim to build careers in the corporate sector, IT, or cybersecurity. As a responsible business, we aim to create real opportunities for their learning, onboarding, and professional development,” said Yulia Starokozheva, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board responsible for IT at Raiffeisen Bank.

The partnership with the NGO “IT Veteran” is one of the priority areas of the bank’s social responsibility efforts. Raiffeisen Bank consistently develops initiatives that help veterans return to civilian life, learn new skills, realize their professional potential, and find their place in Ukraine’s future economy.

Through partnerships with specialized organizations, the bank aims to create long-term opportunities for men and women defending Ukraine: from developing veteran entrepreneurship to reskilling and building careers in high-tech sectors.
