Raiffeisen Bank Becomes Payment Partner of Polish Retailer Pepco in Ukraine

Raiffeisen Bank has become the payment partner of Pepco, the Polish discount retail chain, which opened its first store in Ukraine on October 28. Shoppers will be able to pay using bank cards, smartphones, and smartwatches via the bank’s payment terminals.

The first Pepco store opened at Respublika Park shopping mall in Kyiv. The chain plans to open two more stores on October 30, at Retroville and Dream Yellow shopping malls, also in Kyiv.

Raiffeisen Bank will handle cashless payment acceptance across the chain’s stores. For businesses, the bank offers fast merchant acquiring setup: existing clients can apply for a POS terminal and have it ready to accept payments within 23 minutes of starting the application.

Payments can be managed through the online acquiring portal, where merchants can track transactions, download statements, and issue refunds to customers. The bank credits funds from cashless payments to merchants’ accounts by 8:00 a.m. the next day, including weekends and public holidays.

More than 27,000 merchants accept cards through Raiffeisen Bank terminals. In total, over 36,000 Raiffeisen terminals currently operate across retail networks.

Pepco is a Polish discount retail chain specializing in clothing, homeware, and everyday essentials. Its entry into the Ukrainian market expands the presence of international retailers in the country.
