Raiffeisen Bank Supported the Ukrainian Team at the World’s First International Olympiad In Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence

Raiffeisen Bank supported the participation of the Ukrainian national team in the world’s first International Cyber Olympiad in AI (ICOA 2026), which took place in Sydney, Australia, from June 27 to July 2, 2026.

This year, the Olympiad brought together around 200 high school students from 58 countries across five continents. Ukraine was represented by four participants who achieved strong results in all three competition formats. In the main Olympiad, the team won one gold and two bronze medals, while in the special category they earned a silver medal.

“The achievements of the Ukrainian team demonstrate that interest in cybersecurity and AI should be nurtured long before university or the first job. International competitions like these help young talents develop their skills, represent Ukraine on the global stage, and, in the future, strengthen the country’s cybersecurity capabilities. That is why supporting cyber education development and helping young people find their professional path is important to us,” said Yevhen Baliutov, Chief Information Security Officer at Raiffeisen Bank.

The participation of the Ukrainian team in such a competition showcases the high level of preparation among young people and underscores the importance of systematic development of STEM education, AI competencies, and cybersecurity in Ukraine.

Raiffeisen Bank congratulates the Ukrainian team on its achievements and thanks everyone who contributes to fostering the next generation of cybersecurity and technology professionals.
