Raiffeisen Bank Supports the Education of Six KSE Students from Families of Ukrainian Defenders

Raiffeisen Bank has provided charitable funding to support the education of six KSE University students whose parents are Defenders of Ukraine. The students have received educational grants that give them greater opportunities to choose their career paths, plan their futures and pursue their ambitions. The Bank has allocated over UAH 1 million to this initiative.

“Education is one of the most important investments in Ukraine’s future. Today, it is especially important to support young people from the families of our Defenders, giving them opportunities to receive a high-quality education, develop their talents and pursue their ambitions. For us, this is a matter of responsibility and gratitude to those who defend our country. We want young Ukrainians to see their future here, believe in their abilities and become part of the generation that will develop and rebuild Ukraine,” said Nataliia Gurina, CEO of Raiffeisen Bank.

Raiffeisen Bank was one of KSE’s first corporate partners. The partnership dates back to 2016 and includes support for education and humanitarian initiatives implemented by KSE Foundation.

“Raiffeisen Bank has been our partner for many years, and we particularly value its consistent commitment to investing in education at every stage. In 2022, the Bank was among the first to join KSE Foundation’s ‘ZAKHYSTOK: Safe Education’ programme, helping restore children’s access to school education. It has consistently supported students at KSE University and invested in academic faculty to ensure that young people receive an education that meets international standards. Today, supporting students from the families of Ukrainian Defenders has become another important area of our partnership. Raiffeisen Bank is removing financial barriers for talented young people, enabling them to access high-quality education, develop their potential and build their future in Ukraine,” said Svitlana Denysenko, Executive Director of KSE Foundation.

Raiffeisen Bank has allocated over UAH 1 million to support the education of six students. The funds will be used to finance tuition grants at KSE University.

“Thanks to the grant, I no longer have to worry about finding a part-time job just to cover my basic needs. I can devote more time to my studies and the things that genuinely interest me. One of my dreams is to develop a language model for judging breaking competitions. In the future, I also want to apply my knowledge to engineering and defence-related projects. It is important to me to contribute to my country,” said Mariia Horodyska, a second-year Artificial Intelligence student at KSE University.

Partnerships between businesses and educational institutions provide students with financial support, access to practical experience, professional networks and opportunities for growth. For KSE Foundation and Raiffeisen Bank, this is an important investment in the future professionals who will contribute to the development of Ukraine’s economy and institutions.
