Raiffeisen Bank wins an international award from the UN Global Compact in Ukraine for CSR and Inclusion projects

Raiffeisen Bank became the winner of the international Partnership for Sustainability Award 2025, presented by the UN Global Compact in Ukraine, in the category “Social Impact and Inclusion.”
This year, the Bank was recognized for one of the most effective implementations of a CSR and inclusivity strategy, demonstrating the strategic contribution of business to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and fostering a socially responsible and barrier-free environment in Ukraine.
The winning initiative was a program that integrates the Bank’s CSR and DEI policies — “Different but Equal.”Within this program, Raiffeisen Bank systematically develops an inclusive corporate culture, introduces accessible financial services for clients, and implements large-scale social and humanitarian initiatives.
Raiffeisen Bank’s Achievements in CSR and Inclusion:
- 58 veterans are employed within the Bank; 95% of employees are aware of the Bank’s charitable initiatives, and 90% consider the corporate culture inclusive; the eNPS increased by 19 points. The Bank has introduced equality and inclusion policies, women’s leadership programs, youth initiatives, and DEI training;
- For clients, 225 branches have become barrier-free; the “Vdyachnist” (Gratitude) card for veterans has been launched; online sign language interpretation is available; home delivery of cards for people with disabilities is provided; ATMs operate with voice guidance and Braille labels;
- For society, Raiffeisen Bank Ukraine has become the largest humanitarian donor among banks in the country, providing UAH 1.7 billion in assistance to the population since the start of the full-scale war.

Representatives of the Bank — Daria Dovhoteles, CSR Specialist, and Yuliia Chemeryska, Inclusivity Officer — attended the award ceremony. They expressed their gratitude to the UN Global Compact in Ukraine for the high recognition of the Bank’s sustainable projects and emphasized the importance of partnerships in driving long-term social change.
The UN Global Compact in Ukraine annually organizes the Partnership for Sustainability Award, recognizing the best partnership initiatives implemented by business, government, and civil society to advance the Sustainable Development Goals and deliver long-term positive impact.
During the selection process, which lasted from May 21 to October 10, 2025, the UN Global Compact in Ukraine reviewed 150 applications from 22 countries worldwide. Projects were evaluated by an independent international jury, including experts from Harvard University, the London School of Economics, the World Economic Forum, the Basel Institute on Governance, and other leading international institutions.
