Raiffeisen Bank Aval and Visa launch a new payment service in Viber
The new ON Money payment service is launched by Raiffeisen Bank Aval and Visa.
The service will run on the platform of the popular Viber messenger and will provide the issuance and maintenance of virtual payment cards without visiting a bank branch. Cards can be used to pay for goods and services using Apple Pay and G Pay wallets, as well as on the Internet. Also, users will be able to get other banking services.
“Our bank continues to work on the introduction of modern digital services available to every Ukrainian. Thanks to partnerships with the international company Visa and Viber, payment services are made as simple as possible for everyone. To start working with ON Money, you do not need to visit bank branches and download applications. Simply visit the site onmoney.com.ua from your smartphone, learn the conditions and press the button "Press ON and start". Registration and use of all services are possible in less than one minute. Banking of the future should be simple, understandable and affordable, like ON Money. The service is already accessible for above 2 million existing clients of Raiffeisen Bank Aval and will be soon available for everybody”, said Olexiy Puznyak, head of PI products division in Raiffeisen Bank Aval.
“Ukrainians are increasingly striving to use modern payment instruments – fast and reliable. Such a tool is the ON Money service. Innovative Visa solutions unite all market players and create new opportunities for cashless payments. This is especially important at a time when people are solving more and more daily tasks online”, said Vira Platonova, senior vice president and director of the Visa regional division in the CIS and Southeast Europe.
According to Atanas Raykov, Senior Director EEMENA, Viber is a unified and secure platform with a set of tools for users and business. Viber’s task is to help people to solve as many tasks as possible with one application, and to help brands to be in touch with their customers. Application security is a top priority for developers, which is especially important for the financial sector and payment systems.
Each Viber user registered on the phone of a Ukrainian telecom operator can receive an ON Money payment card. In this case, the card becomes available for use instantly. Services are provided under the NBU license for the issue and maintenance of electronic money.
The Bank continues to work on expanding the functionality of the ON Money platform and introducing new opportunities for using virtual cards.
