Raiffeisen supports business energy independence with loans for solar power plants and electric vehicles

Raiffeisen Bank has launched unsecured “green” loans for small businesses to build solar power plants and purchase electric vehicles and charging stations. Sole proprietors and legal entities can receive financing for up to 80% of the cost of the equipment and installation.

“With this new loan programme, Raiffeisen is contributing to the decentralisation of the energy system, the development of electric mobility, and Ukraine’s green recovery,” said Olena Shpyrka, Head of Business Banking Client Segment Development at Raiffeisen. “Our business clients can reduce their risks, achieve energy independence, ensure business continuity, and lower their electricity and fuel costs. By installing solar power plants with Raiffeisen financing, businesses can generate green electricity for their own needs, use it to charge company and customer electric vehicles, and sell any surplus to the energy market for additional income.”

What are the loan terms?

  • Loan amount: up to UAH 9 million
  • Loan term: from 24 months
  • Interest rate: 17–19% per annum
  • No additional fees

As Ukraine’s largest foreign lender, Raiffeisen Bank continues to implement its sustainable development strategy despite the ongoing war. The Bank has provided UAH 1.5 billion in green loans to businesses, including financing for solar power plants, solar panel production, biogas and biomethane plants, biomass-fired boiler houses, and energy-efficiency projects.

Since 2023, the Bank has presented the Raif Green Leaf award to clients who introduce and promote innovative technologies to reduce emissions, recycle waste, improve resource and energy efficiency, protect biodiversity, and advance organic production, the circular economy, and green energy for Ukraine’s sustainable future.
