Okhmatdyt presents results of the restoration supported by Raiffeisen Bank
The Okhmatdyt – Healthy Childhood Charity Fund has presented the results of the restoration of the treatment and diagnostic complex of the Okhmatdyt National Children’s Specialized Hospital, which was damaged in a Russian missile attack on 8 July 2024. The complex has now been fully restored, with charitable donations used to finance the construction works.
Following the missile attack, Raiffeisen Bank transferred UAH 3 million to the Okhmatdyt – Healthy Childhood Charity Fund to support the hospital and its restoration. Raif’s contribution became part of the broader support for Okhmatdyt provided by individuals, businesses and charitable donors.
The actual cost of the restoration works amounted to UAH 272.1 million, compared with the initial estimated cost of UAH 367.45 million. As a result, UAH 93.35 million – around 25% of the initial amount – was saved.
On 28 August, the Fund officially presented the results of the project and reported on the use of charitable donations. As one of the donors, Raiffeisen Bank considers it important to see the tangible impact of its support and to know that the funds were used for their intended purpose.

It is a hospital where the health and future of thousands of Ukrainian children depend on the work being done every day. For us, it is important to support projects like this and to stand with those who save lives every day. We thank the hospital team, the Fund and all partners who made this restoration possible,” said Nataliia Hurina, CEO of Raiffeisen Bank.
Despite the restoration works, the treatment and diagnostic complex continued to operate. Construction was carried out while the hospital remained open and continued to receive patients. The project involved the international engineering company Eptisa, as well as technical and architectural supervision experts, while the construction works were procured through Prozorro.
“Okhmatdyt is the largest children’s hospital in Ukraine, treating children from across the country every day. After the missile attack in 2024, it was impossible to stay on the sidelines when the hospital urgently needed support. Today, we can already see the result of this joint effort – a fully restored treatment and diagnostic complex. It is especially meaningful to see the hospital operating at full capacity again and continuing to save children’s lives,” said Daria Dovhoteles, CSR Specialist at Raiffeisen Bank.
For reference: On 8 July 2024, during a massive Russian missile attack, Toxicology Building No. 3 was destroyed and four other buildings of Okhmatdyt were damaged, including the treatment and diagnostic complex. Two people were killed, 32 were injured, and more than 600 children were evacuated from the hospital.
