IFC and Raiffeisen Bank launch $50 million support program to SME in Ukraine
Kyiv, 20 November 2024 – International Finance Corporation (IFC) in partnership with Raiffeisen Bank Ukraine have signed the new risk-sharing agreement to expand access to finance for micro and small enterprises in Ukraine for an amount of $50 million.
Raiffeisen Bank Ukraine could lend to SMEs for $50 million in total by this facility. IFC will contribute up to $25 million risk participation coverage and will provide essential financial support to SMEs, particularly in the agribusiness sector. IFC’s risk participation is backed by a partial guarantee from IFC’s Economic Resilience Action (ERA) Program, with support from Switzerland’s State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO).
Max tenor of the Guarantee – up to 5 years. Minimal lending – from $10 000, maximum amount – up to $1 million.
“Raiffeisen Bank is a leader in financing the agricultural industry in Ukraine. Therefore, it is important for us to participate in the program together with our partners to support Ukrainian farmers, micro and small businesses. This will prevent strengthening of food security in the country,” said Oleksandr Pysaruk, CEO of Raiffeisen Bank Ukraine.
