Festival "Week of Austrian movie" will begin April 19 with the support of Raiffeisen Bank Aval

Kiev. 18 April. — Raiffeisen Bank Aval in the sixth time became a partner of the annual festival «Austrian film Week" join the initiative of the Austrian cultural forum and the Arthouse Traffic company.

This year the festival programme is devoted to outstanding Austrian artists, particularly the artist Iono Schiele and writer Stefan Zweig.

the Festival will be inaugurated on 19 APR 2017 year the capital's cinema «Kyiv» the film “EON Schiele — death and the maiden" about the life of Viennese expressionist. The film received 5 nominations Austrian Film Award and was awarded the prize for the best female role. The film directed by Dieter Berner will personally attend the festival in Kyiv to present the Ukrainian audience.

In the festival screenings will also be held in Dnipropetrovsk (with 19 April), Chernivtsi (with 19 April), Kharkov (with 21 April) Odessa (with 28 April).

During the festival the audience will be able to see another one biopic — picture of Maria Schrader “Stefan Zweig: goodbye Europe” about the period of reference of one of the most famous German writers of his time. The band was nominated from Austria in the award «Oscar» best foreign language film.

the Next film festival — “Dreamers”, breathtaking love story of the poet Paul Celan and writer Ingeborg Bachmann. For 20 years they were lovers and love left a considerable correspondence, which formed the basis of the experimental film Ruth Beckerman.

a Documentary film on the festival presents the new film by Ulrich Seidl's. Tape «Safari» — this gppermissions portrait of Europeans who go in Africa to hunt on exotic animals and return to home trophies. Prem’premiere held at the non-competitive program of the 73rd Venice film festival.

guests of the festival «Austrian movie of the Week” also produced a selection of the best medarot with the international festival of multimedia art the ARS ELECTRONICA which is held annually in the Austrian city of Linz and presents cutting-edge visual technologies.

According to the tradition of the festival, films will be shown in original language with Ukrainian subtitles.
