EBRD named Raif as the most active issuing bank in "green financing"
Raiffeisen Bank received an award from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) as "Most Active Issuing Bank in 2020 - Green Trade" under the Trade Facilitation Program (TFP).
By issuing this award, the EBRD noted Raif special contribution to environmental protection: during the previous year our bank issued the largest number of "green" operations among all issuing banks cooperating with EBRD under TFP program. Such operations have already reduced carbon dioxide emissions by the equivalent of 2,800 round-trip flights from Kyiv to London.
"Such a high recognition of our results in Green Trade financing by the EBRD inspires us to keep on new initiatives and to contribute to technological modernization in Ukraine," – said Serhiy Kostogryz, Head of Department of Trade Services and Factoring. – We thank the EBRD, our long-term partner, for its cooperation in helping to make a significant contribution to Ukraine economic development."
Green TFP program was launched in 2016 and it is not the first time when Raif has been recognized as the best one in this program. According to 2020results, the EBRD awarded the best partner banks online on June 30, 2021 both during the annual meeting and business forum.
