EUR 1 000 000 from Raiffeisen Bank will help KSE Foundation arrange shelters in up to 100 schools in Ukraine

Raiffeisen Bank donates the amount equivalent to EUR 1 000 000 for the Safe Education project started by KSE Foundation.

These funds will be used to arrange shelters and make offline education safer in 100 school across the country.

“Safe Education project protects children’s and teacher’s lives. It’s our help for the country to go through a difficult war period. It’s our faith in Ukraine’s future, for the success of which the country needs educated and open-minded people”, noted Oleksandr Pysaruk. Chairman of the Management Board of Raiffeisen Bank.

Nowadays, even if premises for shelters are available at schools, they are often in a poor condition, without even basic conveniences. Every school needing assistance for the shelter repair and equipment may file an application. The program participants are selected openly and publicly, the entire process is transparent – from the approval of the participants to the report on the work done and funds used.

“We are very grateful to Raiffeisen Bank for its contribution and support of the project, which will enable the Ukrainian children to get education safely. Despite all the horrors of war, children must study. Education is an investment in our future and we must provide it to future generations”, emphasized Svitlana Denysenko, the Director of KSE Foundation.

Raiffeisen Bank has been cooperating with Kyiv School of Economics (KSE), the founder of KSE Foundation, since 2016. A number of charity projects in education area have been implemented over that period.
