UAH 1,000,000 from Raiffaisen Bank to support the recovery of 15 Ukrainian defenders after captivity
Raiffeisen Bank, in partnership with the charitable foundation Stalevi (“Steel”), will provide medical treatment and rehabilitation to 15 Ukrainian defenders who have returned from Russian captivity or sustained injuries. The bank has allocated UAH 1,000,000 in charitable funds for this initiative.
The Stalevi Foundation was established in 2023 at the initiative of Hero of Ukraine Serhii Volynskyi (known as “Volyna”) — a marine veteran who himself endured captivity and chose to support his fellow soldiers. The foundation assists the military by raising funds for specific needs, purchasing and delivering essential supplies, and — most importantly — helping defenders return to full lives after injuries, imprisonment, and psychological trauma.
Serhii Volynskyi expressed his gratitude for the partnership, stating: "Every donation is a signal to our defenders that they are not alone. That the country is waiting for them. That they are remembered and loved. Together, we will help restore the strength of those who endured the most for the sake of Ukraine".
“War leaves deep wounds — both physical and emotional. Supporting those who have endured the hardest trials for the future of Ukraine is our choice and our conscious responsibility. Through our partnership with the StaleviFoundation, we invest in what matters most — restoring health, human dignity, resilience, and faith in tomorrow,” — said Oleksandr Pysaruk, CEO of Raiffeisen Bank.
Together with Raiffeisen Bank, the foundation's team will strengthen medical and psychological rehabilitation for those who need it most — people who survived captivity, were wounded, and now require long-term support.
This initiative is part of the bank’s broader social responsibility efforts aimed at recovery and development across Ukraine.
We await the return of every defender — alive, healthy, and unbroken.
