Raiffeisen Bank joined "Coins for Children" charity event

Raiffeisen Bank has become a partner of the charity initiative "Coins for Children", initiated by the National Bank of Ukraine and the Charitable Foundation "Tabletochki". This campaign should help to collect coins in face value of 25 throughout Ukraine as they have already been withdrawn from circulation, but can still be used to help children with cancer.

From today till 30 September, anyone can the initiative and bring coins in faced value of 25 to any of Raiffeisen Bank branches throughout Ukraine and transfer them in favor of Tabletochki Charitable Foundation. Such enrollments will be provided by Raif without commission.

"Ukrainians still keep 1.5 billion of 25 coins. This is about UAH400 million. These coins can no longer be used, but lie in treasuries, pockets or on shelves for years. In the same time, they can save children`s lives right now. Let's collect these coins together for the treatment of children with cancer", – noted Kyrylo Shevchenko, the chairman of the National Bank of Ukraine, at charity initiative presentation.

"Raiffeisen Bank, as an authorized bank, will accept withdrawn coins and banknotes for another two years. But during September 2021, we invite everyone who cares to join such a noble deed and help ill children. After all, at Raif we are convinced that money should work, not just hang in our pockets. In this case, each of your coins can help to save a child's life", – said Victor Garkusha, head of Currency Circulation, Cash Collection and Valuables Transportation Division in Raiffeisen Bank.

The organizers expect that the main driving force will be schoolchildren who will join the initiative with their coins from own treasuries. "Today, we cannot stay away from social problems. It is especially important to involve children in helping others. The task of adults – show children how to help those who need it; teach children to be responsible now and in the future. This initiative is a great occasion to talk to children about the fact that there are different situations in life, that there are people, whom we can help easily and quickly", – mentioned Olga Kudinenko, the founder of Tabletochka Charitable Foundation.

Let's do good deeds together. It's easier that way.
