Raiffeisen Bank paid the taxes for over UAH 1 bn and made the profit of UAH 3.3 bn for 5 months of 2023
The net profit of Raiffeisen Bank based on the performance results in January-May 2023 reached UAH 3 295 mn*. This is UAH 2 858 mn more compared to UAH 437 mn profit for a similar period of 2022.
Raiffeisen Bank’s income for five months of the current year was UAH 8 722 mn compared to UAH 5 496 mn one year earlier (+59% yoy).
The bank’s assets as of May 31, 2023, reached UAH 169.9 bn, thus increasing by UAH 4 bn or 2.4% year-to-date. The liabilities amounted to UAH 153.1 bn (+1.6% year-to-date).
Raif continues lending. Since the start of 2023, the bank has disbursed the new loans worth about UAH 41 bn, including UAH 28 bn to the industries critical for the country (agro, retail, pharmaceuticals, fuel supply). As the leader in the support of the agrarians, Raiffeisen Bank continues financing agro customers’ needs, granting them the new loans for almost UAH 12 bn in January-May 2023 in total.
The large number of the Ukrainians and companies that continue using Raiffeisen Bank’s services, despite the internal and cross-border migration and the shrinking economy, is yet another evidence of trust in the bank. Out of the total number of 2.9 mn customers of the bank, the corporate business customers amount to over 12.9 thousand as of the end of May (+84 customers year-on-year). The number of active users of the bank’s services has considerably increased, by 94 thousand or +4% year-on-year.
Raiffeisen Bank has been one of the leaders in terms of the volume of the Ukrainians’ savings for many years in a row. In particular, the corporate customers’ funds as of the end of May 2023 amounted to over UAH 63 bn and grew by UAH 14.9 bn or 31% year-on-year, the retail customers’ funds were UAH 79.6 bn and grew by UAH 10.7 bn or 15.5% year-on-year.
The amount of taxes paid by Raiffeisen Bank to the State Tax Service of Ukraine in January-May was over UAH 1 bn, which also provided a significant support for the country.
As always, the bank fulfils the requirements of the National Bank of Ukraine at a steadily high level. As of the end of May 2023, the capital adequacy level of Raiffeisen Bank was 24.8 % while the minimum value was 10%, and tier one capital adequacy was 18.8% against the minimum value of 7%.
