Raif remains a leader in avals on promissory notes, with a market share of 28% and the portfolio of UAH 2.36 bn

Raiffeisen Bank’s portfolio of promissory notes with avals was UAH 2.36 bn as of June 30, 2025, which is 28% of the market, according to the statistics of the National Bank of Ukraine. Commercial agrarian promissory notes account for almost the entire portfolio. The volume of avals on promissory notes increased by 13% year-on-year in H1 2025.

“Agricultural financing is the top priority for Raif. We always support the agrarians, as this is critical to the country’s food security, and we are the leader in the financing of this sector. Raiffeisen Bank has strong agri expertise and long-standing experience of working with promissory notes”, noted Larysa Bondarieva, the Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Raiffeisen Bank.

“Partner programs are important for the growth of the portfolio of promissory notes with avals, as the clients pay just 1% of the promissory note amount. We continue working on the extension of the range of such programs in order to make financing still more accessible”, said Denys Honcharuk, the head of Corporate Projects and Partnership Development Department of Raiffeisen Bank.

“We also continue improving customer experience. In 2025, we significantly simplified the process of promissory note discounting. Now the holders of promissory notes, the manufacturers of seeds and plant protection agents, can get unsecured loans based on promissory notes with avals issued by Raif in just several days, and do not have to wait until the promissory notes are redeemed by agricultural producers in autumn”, said Nataliia Fedoseieva, Head of Trade Finance and Factoring Department of Raiffeisen Bank.
