More and more private individuals and companies use the bank’s services.

The net profit of Raiffeisen Bank based on the business results in January-April of 2023 reached UAH 2 855 mn*. This is UAH 2 926 mn higher compared to the losses of UAH 72 mn for the same period of 2022 (at the start of the war the bank granted the customers beneficial account servicing conditions, zero commission fees, credit holidays, etc).

The income of Raiffeisen Bank for four months of the current year was UAH 6 932 mn compared to UAH 4 176 mn one year earlier (+66%).

The bank’s assets as of April 30, 2023, reached UAH 173 bn, increasing by UAH 7 bn or 4.2% year- to-date. The liabilities amounted to UAH 153 bn (+2.7% year-to-date).

Raif continues lending. The Bank has disbursed loans for UAH 31.28 bn since the beginning of the year, out of which loans for UAH 20.79 bn to the industries that are critical for the country (agriculture, retail trade, pharmaceutics and fuel supply). Raiffeisen Bank maintains its long-term leadership in the support of agrarians – despite the difficulties of war the customers receive financing for sowing campaign and other needs. In total, since February 2022 the Bank has disbursed loans to the agrarians for more than UAH 9 bn.

The number of Ukrainians that continue using Raiffeisen Bank’s services despite migration within the country and abroad, as well as economic recession, is the evidence of confidence in the bank. As of the end of April corporate business customers amount to over 12.9 thousand (+94 customers year-on-year) out of the total 2.9 mn of the bank’s customers. The number of active users of the bank’s services among the private individuals has also considerably increased – by 105.6 thousand or 4% year-on-year.

Raiffeisen Bank has been one of the leaders in terms of the volume of the Ukrainians’ savings for many years in a row. In particular, the legal entities’ funds as of the end of April 2023 amounted to more than UAH 63.6 bn and grew by UAH 18 bn or 40% year-on-year, retail customer’s funds were UAH 81 bn and grew by UAH 11 bn or 16% year-on-year.

The amount of taxes paid by Raiffeisen Bank to the State Tax Service of Ukraine in January-April 2023 was UAH 560.6 mn, which also significantly supported the country’s economy.

As always, the bank fulfils the requirements of the National Bank of Ukraine at a steadily high level. As of the end of April 2023, the capital adequacy level of Raiffeisen Bank was 22.9 % while the minimum requirement was 10%, and tier one capital adequacy was 16.3% against the minimum requirement of 7%.
