Raiffeisen Bank disbursed new loans for UAH 89.4 bn and paid UAH 1.9 bn taxes since the beginning of the year

Gross income of Raiffeisen Bank for 10 months of 2023 constituted UAH 17.7 bn in comparison with UAH 14.2 bn in the previous year (+24%)*. Net profit of the Bank in January-October of the current year constituted UAH 6.9 bn.

The amount of taxes paid by Raiffeisen Bank to the State Tax Service of Ukraine since the beginning of the year was UAH 1.9 bn, which also significantly supported the country’s economy.

As of the end of October, 2023, the Bank’s assets reached UAH 180 bn, having increased by UAH 14 bn or 8.5% since the beginning of the year. Liabilities constituted UAH 156.2 bn (+4.7% since the beginning of the year).

Raiffeisen Bank continues to support the country’s economy, including by disbursing loans to credit-worthy customers. Since the beginning of 2023 the bank has disbursed new loans for UAH 89.4 bn, out of which UAH 60.9 bn – to the industries that are critical for the country (agriculture, retail trade, pharmaceutics and fuel supply). Support of agrarians remains one the key priorities of Raiffeisen Bank – during 10 months the Bank has disbursed new loans to the agrarians for almost UAH 13.5 bn, which helps to maintain the bank’s leadership in the cooperation with agrarians.

Raiffeisen Bank supports the country during the war also due to the investments in the state securities – during 10 months of 2023 the bank increased domestic government bonds portfolio by almost UAH 10 bn. The total volume of domestic government bonds portfolio of Raiffeisen Bank reached UAH 24.3 bn, which is the biggest portfolio after the state banks.

The volume of customers’ funds in Raiffeisen Bank continues to show a positive dynamic and proves that customers keep trusting the Bank. In particular, as of the end of October 2023 funds of corporate business customers of Raif amounted to UAH 66 bn and grew by UAH 12 bn or 22% since the beginning of the year, retail customer’s funds were UAH 81.9 bn and grew by UAH 3.8 bn or 5% year-on-year.

As always, the bank fulfils the requirements of the National Bank of Ukraine at a steadily high level. As of October 31, 2023, the capital adequacy level of Raiffeisen Bank was 27.81% while the minimum requirement was 10%, and tier one capital adequacy was 17.94% against the minimum requirement of 7%.
