Raiffeisen Bank committed EUR 1 mn to grant-supported energy efficient lending for businesses

Raiffeisen Bank committed EUR 1 mn to business client financing for the purchase of generators, inverters, accumulators, solar panels, charging stations and heat pumps on special terms. Small and micro businesses are financed as part of Raif’s grant program of the Ukrainian business energy efficiency support.

Thus, businesses may obtain unsecured loans at the bank on special terms: 0.01% per annum for the first 12 months of the effective period of the loan agreement. The maximum loan amount is UAH 400 thousand.

“Businesses today operate under extremely challenging conditions: every blackout entails disrupted processes, interrupted lines, and lost orders. Therefore, Raiffeisen Bank extends energy efficient solutions to assist entrepreneurs with preserving stability and continuing operations even in the times of uncertainty. The rate of 0.01% per annum is our contribution to the resilience of the Ukrainian business and support of jobs”, said Olena Shpyrka, Raif’s head of business banking development.

The advantages of the energy efficient lending program are:

  • Special rate of 0.01% per annum for the first 12 months of the loan agreement
  • Loan disbursement without a surety and a collateral
  • Debt repayment in equal instalments
  • Individual repayment scheme for agro clients
  • Loan period of up to 36 months

Both individual entrepreneurs and legal entities who have an account with Raif can receive financing under this program. This means that the program extends to the new and the existing clients of the bank. The program is in effect for clients from Kyiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Chernihiv, Zaporizhzhia and Mykolayiv regions.

As the largest foreign-owned lender to the Ukrainian economy, Raiffeisen Bank continues contributing to the energy system’s decentralization and “green” recovery of Ukraine. The Bank has already disbursed UAH 3.6 bn business loans for the construction of solar power plants, the manufacture of solar panels, the establishment of biogas and biomethane plants, biomass boiler houses, purchase of generators, implementation of energy efficient projects, etc. The Bank finances such loans under various programs covering all business segments – from small to large business.
